A small project with a simple idea.
PrintTime was started by Tiger, a student at the Princeton International School of Mathematics and Science (PRISMS), originally from New Zealand. The idea is simple: a lot of 3D printers sit idle, and a lot of non-profits need small, practical parts. PrintTime puts the two together, with the print time and filament donated by makers.
How organizations are verified
Every non-profit is checked by Tiger personally before it can post a request. Organizations submit their registration details and website, and a real person reviews them - there's no automated approval. That's deliberate: makers are giving their time and material for free, so they should know who they're printing for.
